That makes this month’s giveaway our biggest one yet! As always, we will include a heavy-duty, not fragile, made-in-the-USA tote with our logo on it, ready for your trips to bookstores, libraries, and wherever your bookish adventures take you.

You can go back and read the post for more details on each title, but here’s a brief reminder of the titles included:

One winner will win the whole shebang, but two runners-up will receive one of our fantastic bags as their prizes.

  1. I just finished “Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy”, it was so well written, I would love to read Wednesday Wars. We also recommend “A Place to Hang the Moon” to anyone who will listen

  2. I don\’t know how I haven\’t read any of these series or books. I\’m saving this page to make a list, Christmas and Easter and Christmas again are going to be a blast for everyone(including me!) As for a book, I would recommend Rescue by Jennifer A. Nielsen. It follows Meg, a young and capable girl, through her escape from Nazi-occupied France. From secret codes to life changing decisions, Meg finds that not everyone should be trusted… God bless you all!

  3. Would love to read InkHeart. A place to Hang the Moon is incredible and our whole family\’s absolute favorite, so I would also love to gift it to someone!

  4. Inkheart has been on my family\’s reading list for a while now! Definitely most excited for that one!

  5. Thanks for the great list of books and giveaway opportunity. We would enjoy The Year of the Black Pony for reading aloud with boys.

  6. Looking forward to reading The Wednesday Wars since they’re Sam’s pick! I hadn’t heard of that book before now.

  7. A Place to Hang the Moon is unfamiliar…curious about that one. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity!

  8. I\’ve read Island of the Blue Dolphins and Hatchet. The rest are new to me and I look forward to giving them a try!

  9. Ever since I learned to read I had fell in love with reading. Whenever I found a really good book I wanted to read Im always like, \”I\’ve got to write that one down so I can get the book\”. All of the books on the list I\’m definitely adding to my list of books I want to read. I can\’t wait till I get to read them, they all sound so interesting. My family and I have read Hatchet together and greatly enjoyed it – I\’ve also read Island of Blue Dolphins, great book.

  10. I\\\’d love for our family to own the Penderwick series – we\\\’ve gotten them from the library, but the whole series on our shelves would be the bees knees!

  11. A Place to Hang the Moon touched my heart deeply. I’ve never heard of Inkheart – thanks for the recommendation!

  12. The Wednesday Wars sounds good! We loved the Penderwick series except I couldnt bring myself to read the last one in its entirety. We were just coming off of a painful medical season ourselves and the pain and trauma was too much but other than that, great series!

  13. The Giver or the Hatchet would be amazing! I want my children and younger siblings to be able to have good books, and the whole basket looks like it\’s got good ones! XD

  14. This is an A plus list. It\’s hard to pass up this fun opportunity. Wednesday Wars is a story that lingered on in my head way after I was finished reading it. I would regift to a family with young readers.

  15. I know that my son would love to read Hatchet to his son. It was a favorite of ours during his growing up years, and now it\’s time to begin sharing beloved stories with my grandchildren!

  16. We haven’t read Year of the Black Pony or Inkheart, so those would be fun to win! Enjoyed the Penderwick series and A Place to Hang the Moon.

  17. We own the Penderwick series- but they are all torn and falling apart due to countless re-readings. The best kind of damage there is!

  18. A few of these we have read, but don’t own our own copy… would love to have them for our home library. Haven’t read Inkheart, so that would be fun to win. Thank you once again for providing a way to enter outside of social media. It is much appreciated.

  19. Loved reading The Wednesday Wars with my middle school students years ago! I have had The Penderwicks on my list for a long time!

  20. I love Gary Paulsen\’s books, and am introducing my boys to his work. I\’d love a copy of Hatchet for our home library!

  21. We will be starting with the Story Warren Bingo Card, and are very excited about the giveaway we love S.D. Smith\’s books so we would love to have all of his books!

  22. As a young writer of fun, clean family comedy stories, I\’ve always been told I need to read The Penderwicks…and I would love to give Island of the Blue Dolphins to one of my readers locally who loves everything dolphins!

  23. I love book recommendations! A Place to Hang the Moon and Inkheart sound like new books my kids will enjoy. The Year of the Black Pony sounds awesome, too.

  24. As a young author of clean family fiction, I\’ve always been told I need to read The Penderwicks….and I would love to give Island of the Blue Dolphins to a young friend who loves everything dolphins. But I don\’t think anything will be able to beat The Green Ember (besides Lord of the Ring, forgive me, Mr. Smith!)

  25. Well, we would love to read the whole lot! Particularly, The Wednesday Wars. We have read Island of the Blue Dolphins already and my daughter counts it as among her favorite books.

  26. We have read The Giver. It is an amazing book. I read it at different life stages and gleaned something different each time. Inkheart and A Place to Hang the Moon are on our To Read list. A copy of our own would be great. Love the recommendations, please keep them coming!

  27. I love this I would love to win for my soon-to-be middle schooler! I\’m loving the beloved books, bingo card and seeing how many I have read as a kid and already shared with my children and how many we still have to go!

  28. I remember reading The Hatchet in school and really liking it! Can’t wait to introduce it to my oldest next year!

  29. All these books sound like a great read! The Giver is an interesting book. I might not give it to a young middle schooler though. I think a junior high and up would be more appropriate (just my opinion).

  30. I would love to read The Giver and The Island of the Blue Dolphins with my sons! And probably we will read all of these. I love some good book recommendations – thank you!

  31. I am very interested in reading \”Inkheart\” by Cornelia Funke! I\’ve heard a lot of great things about it, but I simply haven\’t had the chance to get a copy before!

  32. Ooh, I love thoughtful middle-grade fiction. I read a few of the Penderwicks books when I was younger. Something about a family of sisters appealed to me…perhaps because of my lack of experience with sisterly camaraderie as a girl with two brothers and seven boy cousins. :\’) (I\’m also fond of Little Women and Eight Cousins. I\’m sensing a pattern here…). I wouldn\’t mind having the series. Though, then again, A Place to Hang the Moon reminds me of my similarly book-loving brothers. My TBR list is getting rather large, haha.

  33. All of these books sound great! I havent read any lf these yet so i will deffinetly be looking to check them out at my local library currently im in the middle of a green ember book!

  34. We haven\’t read The Penderwick Series yet so that would be a blessing. 🙂

    P.S.
We are so eagerly waiting for your next release in The Lost Tales series! 😀

  35. We would love to read Island of the Blue Dolphins and A Place to Hang the Moon. We are already fans of The Penderwicks, The Giver, and Inkheart.

  36. My daughter and I listened to the audio version of A Place to Hang the Moon a couple of years ago, and she was still a bit too young to appreciate it. I absolutely loved it though and would love to own it and read it with her again! All of these titles would be wonderful to add to our library ☺️

  37. I have a house full of readers, but we have not read The Year of the Black Pony yet! We would love to add all of these to our collection!

  38. This is a great list. I had heard of or read almost all of these books but I had never heard of The Year of the Black Pony; I will have to make sure I read it!

  39. I have 4 kids ages 7-12. We have loved The Giver, Hatchet, and the Island of the Blue Dolphins. I just put all the others on our TBR list!

  40. I love leaving little piles of life-giving books around our house for the kids to find and discover. I’d particularly like to add the Penderwick Series to our piles.

  41. We do not own most of these. Inkheart and Island of the Blue Dolphins are the only ones. Would love to own them all.

  42. We’ve only read The Giver from this list. So excited to find a great list of books for my kids to read next. Thank you for sharing!

  43. Island of the Blue Dolphins was a favorite of mine as a girl, and now my daughter loves it too! Middle-grades lit has a special place in my heart because of stories we can both enjoy.

  44. The Giver is one of my favorite books of all time! After reading a different book by Gary D. Schmidt, I\’d love a copy of The Wednesday Wars.

  45. A place to hang the moon and Inkheart sound great to try next. We love the Giver and just ordered some of the Penderwick series. Our children are voracious readers like their mom!

  46. We love the Penderwicks but I’ve never read Inkheart and a couple of the others. Always happy for a new book from a trusted source!
