Thank you again for writing inspiring, virtuous, creative stories that capture the imagination and build character along the way.
I quickly fell in love with Heather, Picket, Helmer (my favorite), Smalls, and all the other wonderful characters.
My children love our dear neighbor and we began going once or twice each week to take turns reading to him.
Our ten-year-old son, Joel, has been enjoying playing the Helmer in the Dragon Tomb game after reading all of the Green Ember books.
I love that the game didn’t cause him to not want to read the book, but rather prompted him to read it and finish it so quickly!
Helmer In the Dragon Tomb had a waiting list as soon as it arrived at my house.
My family and I are in Ukraine right now visiting dear friends and family here, as well as the orphanage my adopted sisters grew up in.
We recently got a bunny, promptly named him Pickett, and built a Green Ember inspired play area for him.
I just let them live in the wonderful world of imaginative play and rallying against the darkness. My son was fully engaged and playing pretend like he hasn’t in years, and it brought me so much joy.
