We so often talk about ‘going to heaven’ but the stand out picture for me in the Bible is that heaven comes to earth… or more specifically the new heaven comes to the new earth. And that gets me so excited! It’s embodied, it’s vibrant, it’s free from suffering and packed full of life! I can’t wait to get there and explore, to hug friends, to meet saints from the past and to enjoy God’s world as he always intended. And, of course, we get to party.
Inevitably, as a singer, I love to sing about this. One of my songs that seems to have struck a chord (excuse the pun) with many people is “There’s a Party Coming Soon”. I think this is one of my favourites. As a Brit I don’t like to big up my songs… but this one was largely written by two of my writing partners, so I’m happy to say this is a banging tune! It’s definitely an ear worm and I dare you… I dare you… not to dance.
What’s really exciting is that this song is going to feature in an episode of a new kids TV series we’re set to shoot in the summer! This is a huge step up from the albums and the audio adventure we’ve done, and we can’t wait to get into the film studio.
