Hummingbird Poems: Archilochus colubris I
Archilochus colubris I
King George sits enthroned on high, green over the bounty at his feet. When a hungry belly approaches he rises, chasing it away with a severe scolding. He must protect his goods. King George does not rest, but sits uneasy watchful for he knows there are many who would come to drink of this sweet water. Foolish king. He does not trust my abundance.
