Lewis and Thankfulness

Technically Thanksgiving has passed, but as Kelly Keller reminds us, November 29 was C. S. Lewis’ birthday, and he had a few things to say about thankfulness, so here’s a good read for the day.

  • Preparation for Thanksgiving—not just the consumption of the meal—is a communal affair in the preparation in my house, as well. • Have you ever spent time looking at a great work of art and found yourself lost in it? Literally lost in it, wandering around a water lily pond or gallivanting through haystacks? Then maybe you are a Restorationist, who can get sucked into a painting like a portal into another world.

November: Native American Heritage Month

A.C.S. Bird has a book list for Native American Heritage Month.

  • Of the books highlighted here in honor of Native American Heritage Month, a number feature values common among indigenous peoples of North America. Traci Sorell’s We Are Grateful is one of these.
