Story Warren Weekend, Vol. 14, Issue 13

Hello everyone,
We pray you had a wonderful weekend celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Here in North Carolina, it was a rainy day, but our friends still lingered into the early evening. As it turns out, glad Christian fellowship can endure a few raindrops.

When Christian Formation is Tough, What Will Keep You Going? “Walk long enough with believers who are seeking the Lord through prayer, Bible reading, and service in the church, and you’ll hear comments like this. Words of weariness. Fragments of discouragement. Maybe you’re there right now—demoralized by division in your church, disillusioned by unanswered prayers, disinclined to open God’s Word when carving out time already feels impossible.”
The team at Redeemed Reader introduced us to Who is God: 52 Pictures to Share With Your Family. “As we spend time with God in his Word, we get to know him better. We learn his names – and he has a lot of them! We discover his attributes and the different ways he reveals himself through stories and pictures in scripture. We read what he says about himself and see that it’s all true!”
Around the Warren

We’re still enjoying the Eastertide season after Sunday’s celebrations. Christina Rossetti reminded us of the glory of Christ’s resurrection on Easter Monday.
I Will Most Gladly: Théa Rosenburg reflects on how her time devoted to her children has shifted as they’ve gotten older. “Back then, ‘spend and be spent’ served as a reminder that this was the work. Caring for my small daughters wasn’t something to systematize into a more convenient shape or to outsource to others—it was something I was called to do fully, with all I had, holding nothing back. And while I’m still called to that, I find now that the phrase ‘I will most gladly’ fits my season best.”
