It’s not too late to grab a book or two for St. Patrick’s Day this coming week. Read-Aloud Revival’s March booklist has some great suggestions.

We marked the birthday of author Kenneth Grahame with a post on learning to love his most famous work: The Wind in the Willows. “It was C.S. Lewis who famously said that a good children’s book is one that can be enjoyed just as well at age fifty as at age ten. For me, it was the tender age of thirty-six that put me in the right frame of mind to take this novel in….”

Our celebration of Middle Grade March continued with a word from the publisher, Andrew Mackay. “I don’t just greatly esteem middle grade novels, I love them. In a time when kids can opt for any number of never-ending streams of digital content fed straight to their eyeballs, I think middle grade novels are more important than ever.”

In the coming weeks, you may be making plans for Easter crafts and activities for the kids. Here are some suggestions that go beyond the typical eggs-and-bunnies options. Some of these are more sacred in nature. Maybe you’ll find something for your Sunday table!
