Yesterday’s post was a wink at our founder, S. D. Smith, because today we are celebrating the new book he has written for us all! That’s right—in between podcast interviews, soccer matches, chocolate chip cookies, and exciting meetings, Sam has hunkered down behind his laptop, scratched his head, and created some new tales for you to enjoy.
The Lost Legend is available in our store today! Right now! You can go order one and have it in your hands before long! It will be available everywhere next month. But who wants to wait that long?!
This story gets back to our first two Green Ember characters, Heather and Picket, and tells some up-til-now-unknown stories about them. The main characters in this story are Picket, Heather, Jo, Fiona, and Marlan.
The Lost Legend is the next book in the series that The Lost Key began. (Soon enough we will be telling you about the thrilling conclusion to this trilogy, collectively known as The Lost Tales.)
Here’s the summary of The Lost Legend:
Heather and Picket must protect their precious charge in the forbidding wilderness, then return to face off against the crystal key conspirators. Intrepid detective Fiona Black looks for clues to unlock an ancient mystery’s connection to the present. Helmer, Jo, and the faithful heroes of the cause all fight on as rabbitkind’s resistance teeters on the edge of collapse.
This book also features that familiar, beautiful artwork from Zach Franzen that you and your kids know and love. We are all impressed with this cover from J. C. Smith! Isn’t it striking?
As always our intrepid customer service team is able to answer any questions about merch or your specific order. You can reach them at orders@storywarren.com.
Don’t miss our release party for The Lost Legend TONIGHT on YouTube at 7 PM. Tune in for a question and answer time, book talk, and giveaways.
Kelly Keller is the managing editor of Story Warren. She has her BS in Elementary Education from Messiah University and has taught various ages, but her favorite was worldview and literature with high school students. The “gap” in her resume is actually a window of eighteen years of homeschooling, which she recommends as an effective, though demanding, way of expanding one’s home library.
When she’s not behind her laptop, Kelly enjoys live music, baseball, reading great books, and traveling with her husband, David. Kelly hails from beautiful snowy New England, but after nearly two decades in North Carolina, she feels right at home.
