Vincent Anastasi grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, more at home building imaginary worlds in the basement out of Legos with his sister or out exploring the creek and woods behind his home. After trading in the clarinet for a guitar in high school (a choice he does not regret), he began writing music. Since then, he’s released multiple albums of original music and started TheDeepeningGround.com to chronicle his creative musings. As a father of six children, husband (of one wife), high school English teacher, and worship leader, life provides abundant opportunities to deepen. Vincent finds much of his inspiration in British Literature and music, from Alfred, Lord Tennyson to U2. He maintains a regular diet of the Inklings balanced with a healthy serving of poetry, especially the work of Wendell Berry and Mary Oliver.
