Resource: Learn Your Troll Name

August 9, 2023 by Isabel Chenot 10 Comments

Dear Reader,

A friend sent me this (linked) fairy name chart.

It occurred to me that what the world really needs right now is a similar chart to figure out our troll names.

And here it is, thanks to the indisputably Odius qualities of myself and Carrie L– er, Slackthew Clodgore . . .

Naturally I looked up the troll names of all the most Dignified and Important people I know.  One of them turned out to be ‘Codface Spawn of Glog’.

How I envy him. And another friend who is ‘Creaksome Sludge Pongwattle’. I would have loved those names. But I had to sort the chart impartially.

My troll name comes out to “Walloping Wambole Tarchild”. Hmm…I’m not sure what to think about that…XD

      Nice!
I would really like to know someone who could be the “Bloodless Bodspleen of Shebar” — but I don’t yet know anyone whose name begins with an X, and who was born on September 8. Hopefully I’ll meet someone like that soon — I don’t know how I’ve even functioned for so long with such a dire gap in my acquaintances!

My children loved this!! We have a cat named FireflyOod, after the troll in the Wingfeather Saga. I foresee more troll names in our future. Thanks for the fun!

This makes me so happy, thank you! A child’s laughter is such a very important thing in the world.
