Liz Cottrill is the mother of six children and grandmother of five, all of whom live near her home in rural southwest Virginia. She and her husband and the three still at home are attempting to prove that city-raised folks can learn to milk cows and raise their own food. Liz and her oldest daughter justify their inability to resist collecting books by having chosen to organize them into a 16,000 volume library within their home in order to loan them to over 50 homeschooling families in their community. She is most gratefully the child of parents who allowed her to read too much and has a passion to ensure that reading literature never goes out of fashion.
